What are the names of the band members in Panic! At the Disco?
Currently, we have Brendon Urie as lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, pianist/keyboardist/organist, and backflip-ist.
Dallon Weekes is the backing/harmony vocalist, bassist, and he plays the synthesizers.
Spencer Smith is the drummer/percussionist.
There may be a new lead guitarist soon for the new tours, or they may decide to have Brendon take on that role, we shall see.
The former band members are;
Lead Guitar & Backing/Harmony Vocals, Ryan Ross (from 2004 to 2009.)
Lead Guitar and Backing/Harmony Vocals, Ian Crawford (from 2009 to 2012, touring only.)
Bass guitar, Brent Wilson (from 2004 to 2006.)
Bass guitar and backing/harmony vocals, Jon Walker (from 2006 to 2009.)
Does Panic! at the Disco have a fan club?
Absolutely! Their fanclub is called Norther Downpour, after a ballad off Pretty. Odd. and you can join for $30. The fan club will give you access to purchasing tickets early and the ability to meet the band. The do meet and greets before most shows and you can get into one by being one of the first 60 people to purchase tickets through the fan club on their website for your particular show. Norther Downpour website.
Where did they come up with the band name “Panic! At the Disco?”
The band has stated, on one of their DVDs and in interviews, that the name “Panic! at the Disco” comes from the song “Panic” by The Smiths, which includes the line “burn down the disco,” although a more popular belief is that the name has its origins in the song “Panic” by Name Taken, which includes the line “Panic at the disco.” We at this particular blog would like to believe what the band members themselves have said, believing they most likely wouldn’t just make something up. They are all huge fans of Morrissey and The Smiths as well.
Why did the band split?
Ryan Ross and Jon Walker, former lead guitarist and bassist, both backing vocalists, decided to leave Panic! At the Disco in July 2009 because of creative differences and because they wanted to pursue different musical styles. They went on to start their own band, calling it The Young Veins, but were not very successful in this endeavor and soon gave up on that idea. Jon currently has a solo career and Ryan doesn’t really do anything.

None of the current band members have public Facebooks, or ones they want fans to know about. There is a strong possibility that they do have them, but if so they keep them private and try to keep people from knowing about them. Dallon used to have a Facebook that was mostly updated by Breezy, but that’s since been deactivated. Ryan Ross has a Facebook but we don’t find it to be remotely appropriate to share it here when he has made it very clear he does not want people to know about it.
Any accounts you find on Facebook for Dallon Weekes, Brendon Urie, Spencer Smith, and Ian Crawford are FAKE. They are either role-play accounts or people pretending to be them to trick fans. Sorry guys!
Jon Walker does have a Facebook PAGE that he updates himself. You can find and “Like” it here.

When will Panic!’s new album be out?
Well, there is no official word on this yet but it is our strong belief they will be getting it out (or at least trying VERY hard to) before the September FOB shows. It only makes sense. It will have been a year since their last show promoting Vices & Virtues when it’s touring time for the Save Rock and Roll tour. Why would they go back out on tour without new music? They toured for over a year for V&V and their new album is almost done… it only makes sense that they’d be releasing it sometime between June and August to promote and play the songs on the Save Rock and Roll tour. At least, that’s our thinking. We shall see!
